The Bihar government is set to sign a cultural agreement with three states, further strengthening national unity and promoting cultural exchange. Discussions are also ongoing with other states to establish similar agreements, fostering mutual harmony and deeper cultural ties across the country.

Step Towards Cultural Coordination
As part of the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative, Bihar is taking significant steps to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of various states. In December 2024, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh signed a cultural partnership agreement, marking an important milestone in this effort.
UP Artists Shine at Bihar Diwas
Under this agreement, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh will collaborate on cultural, educational, and social programs for the next three years. A glimpse of this partnership was seen on Bihar Diwas, where artists from Uttar Pradesh captivated audiences with their performances. Similarly, artists from Bihar had earlier participated in Uttar Pradesh Diwas, highlighting the deep cultural bond between the two states.
Cultural Events and Activities
As part of this collaboration, a series of folk music, dance performances, dramas, exhibitions, and seminars will be organized. Additionally, students will participate in special art competitions, and educational institutions will receive books focused on cultural heritage. To reach a wider audience, these events will be televised and broadcast on the radio. Promotional materials will also feature symbols representing both states, further strengthening cultural identity and awareness.
This initiative is a major step in enhancing cultural exchange and fostering unity among states, reinforcing the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.’
