Varanasi, April 11, 2025 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a massive gathering in his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi today, said that Kashi is no longer just a symbol of antiquity but has become a model of progress and development as well.
Highlighting the transformation the city has undergone in the past decade, PM Modi emphasized the balance between preserving cultural heritage and embracing modern infrastructure. “Kashi is a living example of how tradition and progress can move forward together. Today, the world is witnessing a new Kashi – a Kashi that maintains its ancient glory while becoming a beacon of development,” he said.
The Prime Minister’s visit comes amid his ongoing campaign efforts ahead of the 2024 general elections. He is expected to participate in a series of events, inaugurate several development projects, and interact with local leaders and citizens during his stay in the city.
